Must have tools for creating sugar flowers;

  • Modeling tools

You can find some fantastic modeling tools on eBay – sellers offer a wide variety, and loads of bulk purchasing: eBay modeling tools

  • Foam pads & CelBoard
  • Paintbrushes

Paint brushes are easy – you can even find these at your local hardware store, craft store

  • Fondant rolling pin
  • Floral wire & tape
  • Tylo powder

This is the most important item! Tylose is what makes your “glue” for the flowers; key thing here, is it is edible glue! This will be the trickiest item to find, buy in bulk when you can: Tylo powder

Tylo Glue is made by mixing a quarter teaspoon of Tylo Powder with approx 50ml of water. Leave the lumpy mixture overnight and you will find a wonderful thick glue in the morning.

  • Petal cutters
  • Veiners (silicone or hand tool)

Silicone venires come in all shapes & sizes; try Amazon for a wide variety Veiner Tools

  • Polystyrene “cake” (for holding flowers)
  • Cutting mat

Cutting mats can be found at your local hobby supply store, sometimes even the grocery store too! Once, Amazon to the rescue if you have no luck at teeth of those locations: Cutting mat

  • Colored tints & dusts

Order every color petal dust you can imagine here: Global Sugar Art
